Reduce PowerPoint Filesizes Problem: File sizes in PowerPoint vary widely depending on the need at hand. For making 35 mm slides scans have to be created at fairly large file sizes. For ScreenShows, they can be quite a bit smaller. And for distributing via email, the image sizes might to be reduced even more if one wants to send the email only for "draft approval" and image quality only needs to be for recognition and not for quality. Or perhaps you received a file from someone else that overscanned all of the images in the presentation resulting in a tremendously oversized presentation. Solution: Reillyand, Inc. developed a custom addin to PowerPoint that very quickly and automatically reduces the file size down to only as big as it needs to be for a given situation. So if you need 35 mm slides and also are going to present the presentation as a screenshow, you can instantly create a new copy of the PowerPoint file at the correct resolution without carrying two sets of files. The original file is never changed, but a new file is automatically created and all images are reduced to the appropriate size often resulting in tremendous reductions in file size. This new PowerPoint Optimizer is available for sale as part of the RnR PPTools© collection. |
